Do you have a minimum night stay?
During the week, we offer 1-night stays, weekends our minimum stay is 2 nights and on holidays a 3-night minimum. We like our guests to fully enjoy their time here and feel 3+ nights is ideal!
Where are you located?
Our cabin is located in Alma, CO - approx. 25 minutes from world-famous Breckenridge Resort. We are approx. 2 hours from Denver International Airport.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4pm on the day of arrival and 10am on the departure day.
How does check-in work? Do we need to go somewhere to get keys?
You won't need to go anywhere to pick up or drop off keys. 24 hours before your check-in in you will receive your keyless entry code. Just arrive at the house, and use the code provided, which will be active for the duration of your stay. Where can we get driving directions, house details, access info, wi-fi, etc., to help us plan our trip?
Details will be sent to your email 24 hours before check-in.
Do you have Wifi/Cable at the House?
Yes, the cabin has Starlink high-speed internet. The cabin is equipped with a smart tv and you are welcome to sign in to any of your streaming services.
May we bring a dog to the house?
Dogs are allowed on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to discuss with us before booking your stay.
What essentials do you supply?
The cabin is stocked with everything you will need for a comfortable stay, including the following:
Linens: All bedding, pillows, towels, and robes
Kitchen Essentials: We provide a starter supply of paper towels, trash bags, and dish soap. We also provide all utensils, cooking utensils, knife set, plates, bowls, cups, pots and pans, microwave, air-fryer, gas stove, toaster, gas grill and grilling utensils, and a full-size refrigerator (no dishwasher)
There is a Dual coffee maker with a starter supply of coffee pods, coffee filters, tea bags, sugar, and creamer. We also supply salt + pepper, a variety of spices and grilling rubs, and cooking oil.
Bathroom Essentials: toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer.
How far is the grocery store from the house?
We have a small local market in Alma called Al-Mart, approx. 5 minutes from the cabin. They carry basic grocery items and necessities. There is a larger grocery in Fairplay (approx. 12 minutes) called Prather’s and a City Market Grocery Store in Breckenridge (approx. 25 minutes).
Do you allow smoking in the house?
There is NO SMOKING or VAPING of any kind inside or outside of our house (this includes cannabis). If we find that you have smoked in the house, there will be a minimum $400 fine charged.
What if there is a natural disaster, sickness, inclement weather, or unforeseen circumstance that affects our stay?
Although we do everything possible to make your stay as pleasant and carefree as possible, we cannot control or be responsible for the weather or any other unforeseen circumstances or sicknesses that may affect your stay. There are no refunds for natural disasters or other major events that are out of our control. We highly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to cover your stay in case of a natural disaster or other major event. Depending on the type of trip insurance you purchase, you are usually eligible to be reimbursed by the insurance company for the amount that we do not refund.
Do I need a 4WD vehicle to access the cabin?
We are in a mountainous area with lots of hills. During the winter months, a Four Wheel Drive or all-wheel drive with good tires is highly encouraged!
How do you handle snow removal during the winter months?
We have a plow service that plows our entire driveway after 4" of snow accumulation. Shoveling service is not provided, but we do have a shovel on-site that you are welcome to use, if necessary.
Should I be concerned about bears or other wildlife during my stay?
We are in the mountains, so insects and wildlife are very common! We mostly see friendly animals that will not harm you. Please bring your insect/tick repellent spray, and make sure to keep all trash/garbage in the supplied latched receptacle outside In general, it's always good to be aware of your surroundings while enjoying the beauty of being in nature!
